What Are Skin Boosters? (Restylane® Skinboosters, Juvéderm® Volite)
Skin boosters are a very light filler made of hyaluronic acid, a sugar we naturally have in our skin. They are specifically designed to help smooth out fines lines and wrinkles in areas where traditional muscle relaxing wrinkle treatments do not do the trick.
Common treatment areas include:
Lower cheek lines
Neck lines
Décolletage
Hands
How Long Does It Last?
Results may last for 1 to 3 months or up to 6 months, depending on the area. Dr. Andrea may recommend that you have a series of 3 treatments, done monthly, and then maintenance every 6 months.
What Are Possible Side Effects?
Side effects may include bruising, light swelling, and mild discomfort in area. Other very rare side effects will be reviewed in consultation with Dr. Andrea.
Will The Treatment Be Painful?
Dr. Andrea applies numbing cream prior to your treatment, and only uses fillers with numbing so the injections themselves are quite comfortable.
